Auburn Signs All-American Graduate Transfer Casey Dunn of Jacksonville State

The Tigers added another player to this year's class.

If you had Auburn adding a graduate transfer offensive linemen - a Center, no less - to the 2017 class, then you're probably one of the few.

The official site announced this afternoon through Twitter that two-year starter and All-American Casey Dunn of Jacksonville State has signed with Auburn.

So, where is Dunn going to fit in? I have no idea. I discussed the outlook of the Offensive Line just the other day. I'm also confused on how he has any eligibility, left. He appeared in 5 games in 2013, 4 games in 2014, and then was a two-year starter for the Gamecocks. I see nothing about an injury cutting a season short, but that's the only way I can really figure he is still able to play another season.

Dunn will not be joining the Tigers for Spring practices - which begin next week - but will be in town in the early summer. So, he'll have a short time to compete for a starting spot at... I don't know? I thought Austin Golson was a lock for starting at Center, but maybe this is a sign that Auburn may want to move him back to left tackle. It could also just be a move to add depth at the Center position.

Regardless, this is a quality addition to the line - he helped protect JSU's QB in the face of Montravius Adams & Company in 2015 - and we're glad to have him. Welcome to Auburn, Casey!
