Six Auburn Players Named All-SEC

Auburn landed six players on the Coaches All-SEC Team today. Leading the way were running back Kamryn Pettway who was named First Team. The sophomore rushed for 1,123 rushing yards and seven touchdowns even though he only ran the ball in eight games due mostly to injury.

Joining Pettway on the first Team were junior Defensive End Carl Lawson and junior kicker Daniel Carlson. Lawson totaled 28 tackles on the year including nine sacks, and 12.5 tackles for a loss while Carlson is up for the Lou Groza Award as the nation’s best kicker.

Making Second Team All Conference were Offensive Linemen Braden Smith and Alex Kozan. In addition, Defensive Lineman Montravius Adams was selected second team. The senior had an interception, blocked two kicks and scored a touchdown off of one of two fumble recoveries. He finished the season with 39 tackles including 4.5 sacks.
